Digital Printing
What is Digital Printing?
Digital Printing started as ‘making copies’ on office copier. It was a way to print documents quickly, usually from a hard copy original using toner as opposed to wet ink. Now, most digital printing is output directly from electronic art files and some printers are able to use wet ink just like an offset press.
Initially, digital printing had the convenience to produce your document much quicker than offset printing, but the quality was much, much worse. The advancements in digital printers have been huge and now, the average person probably wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between digital or offset printing.
The inkjet in your home office, or the copier next to your cubicle — those are digital printers. Printing companies like us have much larger, higher quality, and faster digital printers, but it’s essentially the same concept.

What is Variable Data?
Variable Data printing is a digital printing process that allows you to customize text, graphics or images on each individual printed piece. Variable Data is great for reaching your customers on a more personal level. Because each printed piece is unique from the one before it, variable data printing can only be produced with digital printing.
